Privacy Policy

The European Commission recommends:

This privacy policy is valid for these websites:

The websites collect and process data only isasfar as this is necessary for their operation in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of the website. When visiting a website, your browser or computer transmits your IP address to the web server of the selected website so that it can deliver the texts, images, layout information, etc. that you requested. In this process, the following data can be collected:

  • the web page(s) visited
  • date and time of access
  • the link (“referer”) that led you to the website (unless you set your browser so that it does not transmit this information)
  • the browser used, including its version and the operating system it is running with (unless you set your browser to pretend that it is something other than what it is)
  • the amount of transmitted data
  • your preferred language (eg DE for German or EN-GB for British English)

None of these information is stored or evaluated for longer than the duration of your visit, even for statistical purposes. Only in the case of hacker attacks we reserve the right to temporarily store this data in log files, but only for the purpose of warding off attacks.

According to GDPR, disclosure of your personal data will only take place if you have given your express consent, or if the disclosure is required to conclude a contract with you or to fulfill another legal obligation with you, or for the protection of our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. If you contact us, we will use the information you submit solely to process your request in accordance with Article 6(1) (b) or (c) or (f). The data will be deleted after processing has been completed, unless statutory retention periods take precedence.

The websites use encryption technologies (SSL/TLS) to increase security. This can be recognized by the “https” (“s”=“secure”) part of the web address and, in some browsers, by a lock symbol. The websites maulco.de and plopt.de are operated on a server located in Germany. The websites shrnks.co and resilience.rocks are operated on Squarespace’s servers in the USA. (Address below.)

None of the websites use web analytics services. None of the websites offers an e-mail newsletter. We do not create usage profiles or user profiles and we do not use personal data to make automated decisions.

Cookies are small information packages that a website (or the server) sends to your browser which then stores them for a certain period of time unless you set your browser so that it restricts or denies this service. The website maulco.de uses cookies as “short-term memory” so that it can remember in which language (German/English) it should be displayed. shrnks.co and resilience.rocks use session cookies to navigate the menu on the website and, if necessary, display a banner with up-to-date information. plopt.de does not use cookies. None of the websites uses third party cookies.

External content is used on a website if it can not be provided otherwise for technical or licensing reasons. This content comprises, for example, web fonts and script libraries, which enable a uniform representation of the websites. Web fonts are small files with fonts that your browser downloads from a font provider. Your browser or computer sends this provider your IP address so that the provider’s server knows where to deliver the fonts. Your browser will use the downloaded fonts for the duration of your visit to the site. plopt.de uses web fonts from Google. maulco.de, shrnks.co and resilience.rocks use web fonts from Adobe and Google. If you set your browser to block web fonts or if it does not provide web font functionality, the sites will be displayed with fonts installed on your computer.

Even maps can be external content. The website resilience.rocks uses Google Maps as a service to display interactive maps. Your browser or computer transmits your IP address to the map server, so the map data can be transferred to your computer. If you’d like to disable the Google Maps component, consider using a content filter or ad blocker, or disabling Javascript in your browser.
